Gaming PCs and the Games We Can’t Wait to Play on Them

This fall is shaping up to be a slow one for gaming, as a lot of the heavy hitters are making their appearance next year in the early springtime (and bet we will be here to provide you information on them as time inches closed), however that doesn’t mean there isn’t anything good coming out this year.  Now, I wish God of War Ragnarök was coming to PC gaming this year, but that will be a way out.  So let’s go ahead and dive into what is coming this year!

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered

Oh boy, I was in shock when I saw this announcement.  One of the best superhero games I have ever played is making its debut on PC.  This is HUGE.  Being gorgeous on the PS4, I can only imagine what this is going to look like on a gaming PC.  Featuring the Sinister Six, this is an action-packed game from start to finish, and really captures Peter Park as a teenager, and the amazingness of one of my personal favorite superheroes, Spider-Man.  This PC game launches on August 12th, 2022.  Be sure to check out the trailer, as well!

Saints Row

A reboot that is looking very promising, Saints Row, is making its return.  Originally the Grand Theft Auto killer, Saints Row is a goofy, over the top action game.  This is a reboot set in the American south-west fictional town of Santo Ileso and is going to be very narrative based.  Based on the trailer, it looks like the same chaotic fun and craziness that we have known and loved.  Saints Row launches August 23rd, 2022.

The Last of Us Part 1

A masterpiece of a game is finally coming to PC – The Last of Us Part 1.  One of the greatest games of the last generation, The Last of Us Part 1 is an emotional journey start to finish.  For anyone who hasn’t experienced this game by playing or watching a play through, I cannot recommend this game enough.  Naughty Dog really out did themselves on this game.  The Last of Us Part 1 arrives on PC September 2nd, 2022.  Be sure to check out the trailer for this masterpiece of a game.

Overwatch 2

Anyone who is everyone knows that I love Overwatch and Overwatch 2 is inbound.  One of the biggest selling points for a game that really looks like DLC is that it is free to play.  So, there isn’t really any reason not to give this title a go.  Moving from 6v6 to 5v5, Overwatch is still going to show heavy emphasis on team-based coordination.  New characters, new maps, and Overwatch 2 itself are landing on PC on October 4th, 2022.  Watch the trailer here.

The Callisto Protocol

The Callisto Protocol is the spiritual successor to the classic title Dead Space and God does it look GOOD!  The team creating this project is lead by one of the original creators of Dead Space, which is awesome as that assures me that this game will be jam packed with horror.  If you are a fan of Dead Space, horror titles, and PUBG (as apparently this ties into the universe of PUBG somehow), The Callisto Protocol arrives December 2nd, 2022.  Check out this awesome trailer, as well.

Hogwarts Legacy

I cannot express my excitement for this game and the world that we will be getting to explore this year!  Hogwarts Legacy takes place years before the events of Harry Potter, however we are getting to explore the universe of Harry Potter and all of its secrets.  The 14 minute gameplay trailer showcased A LOT of what to expect from this game.  The combat looks awesome, especially since we will be casting spells.  Hogwarts Legacy arrives December 2022.

Next year is looking a lot more saucy in terms of big titles, but this year is looking good as well.  Not as meaty, but it is at least going to tie us over.  I can’t wait to experience some of these titles on PC for the first time (PlayStation games), and the other titles that are on their way as well.

All of these amazing upcoming games will play best on a brand-new gaming PC. If you’re in the market for a gaming desktop but don’t know all the finer details, try building your gaming PC with AVADirect.
